Development for our final solution was a fairly short process due to the simplicity of our design.

• Dimensions

  • Walls four feet high

  • Front wall three feet long

  • Side walls four feet long

• 2-inch thick walls

• Digital clock on front wall

 

We decided on the dimensions of the walls quickly based on the approximate size of an average desk. The thickness of the walls was added later to allow the structure to stand unsupported. It is a standardized testing requirement that there be a clock in the line of sight of the students, so we added a digital clock for the students to set to know how much time they had left for each section of the test. The clock will be at a height of three feet on the front wall, where it will be most easily seen by the student.
